Tyoga Country Club Wedding

You guys!!! This wedding. George and Liz’s Tyoga Country Club wedding was SO good.

First off, my husband has always talked about visiting Cherry Springs, PA for the star watching. I really hadn’t even heard about it before he started talking about this beautiful Pennsylvania area where light pollution is almost existent. Liz grew up not far from there in a town called Wellsboro. It’s a charming town where fall happens a little bit earlier and the trees change to some really stunning colors. I drove to Wellsboro in the dark and was so excited when I woke up the next morning. Fall hadn’t hit yet in the Philadelphia area but it was in full bloom in Wellsboro which is perfect for a fall wedding. I spent the morning with George during his getting ready moments and then left for Tyoga Country Club. The bold colors, fall mums and pumpkins spread throughout the decor as well as some special details to show their love for Philly sports perfectly fit the day.

Once I arrived at Tyoga Country Club in Wellsboro and got the details ready to photograph. Liz’s sister and best friend helped her into her dress. This is always one of my favorite parts of the day because emotions are running strong and the anticipation of the day is everywhere.

George and Liz had married a few months earlier quietly due to a family illness. This made their wedding even more important and intense. Their personal vows touched everyone watching. No one had phones out during the ceremony, without even being asked. They were present. Invested in this joining of two lives. After exchanging rings, Liz and George high-fived before their kiss – which made everyone smile and laugh through their tears. The rest of the night flowed perfectly with people in and out of the tent enjoying the cool night air. Speeches by George’s brother and Liz’s sister brought tears to everyones eyes once again. If you’re going to catch me crying, parent dances get me every time. The sun set and the DJ had the dance floor packed the whole night.

Planning a fall wedding? I’d love to hear more about it here!
