Marge and Ryan are two of the most laid back people that I know. Wedding planning can be stressful – most anyone who has planned a wedding would say that at some point during the process, they felt stressed. Marge and Ryan made it look easy and on the day of, they just truly laughed together and really took in their lives together. It had rained in the days before their wedding which threatened their outdoor ceremony at The Columbia Station but again, nothing got to them and the day went perfectly as planned.

While we did portraits, they were smiling and laughing the entire time. They are truly two people who I can see still laughing together when they’re 80. At The Columbia Station they have a beautiful old train that they use as a bridal suite. Some of my favorite images of the day are the moments leading up to the ceremony and being in the train gave it a unique view. They were able to have their wedding outside and it was the sweetest ceremony.

The Reception

The rest of the night complimented the first part of the day. Marge and Ryan, along with their wedding party had some really fun introductions into the reception and they started off formalities with their first dance. Shortly after, Marge’s brother joined her for a dance. It was an emotional moment when they reached out to their other brother to dance with them in memory of her father. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.

We snuck out for some sunset photos while the sky looked like a painting. I love being able to take 10 minutes for these photos because it gives couples another chance to stop for a bit and just take in the day. We laughed the entire time we were outside.

I hope you enjoy this Columbia Station wedding. If you are looking for a photographer for your upcoming wedding, reach out here!
