Congratulations to Megan and Nick! They had the most incredible wedding weekend in Philadelphia, culminating in a gorgeous fall wedding at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Every moment was absolutely beautiful and truly focused on their joy and happiness together. I had the honor of capturing their rehearsal dinner and their wedding day, which meant that I got a front row seat to all of their special moments in the fall.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Wedding

To kick off their wedding day, I met up with Megan in her Philly hotel room. She was prepping with her ladies and I’m thrilled I was there to capture her joy when her bouquet arrived! Her bouquet might be one of my favorite details from this fall wedding day. It was simply gorgeous – with fall reds, yellows, and lots of greenery. Honestly, it looked incredible at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts – the colors matched SO well! After Megan was all ready, she met with her dad to have a sweet first look. I love when my brides do first looks with their family. They’re always such quiet and intimate moments that prove to be very meaningful.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts is an amazing venue in the city, filled with art galleries and studio space. The light is incredible and I knew that Megan, Nick, and I were going to have a great time exploring. Megan and Nick wanted to have a first look before they headed to their church ceremony, so we decided to have their first look right in one of the galleries. Afterwards, we had the chance to wander around the museum and we simply stopped wherever we felt inspired. It was the absolute best way to capture wedding portraits of Megan and Nick. Early on in our planning, Megan mentioned that they wanted the photographs from their day to really capture the happiness of the event – and be less about posed photos. That’s pretty much my photography philosophy, so I knew that from the start capturing Megan and Nick would be a dream. It definitely was. I’m still swooning over these museum portraits!

Before heading to the church, we captured a few more portraits out in the streets of Philly. There’s something so beautiful about a bride and groom crossing the road in the middle of the city by Philadelphia City Hall! Megna and Nick’s wedding ceremony was gorgeous and traditional, in one of the old churches in the area. Afterwards, we hopped on the trolley to head back to Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts! There, Megan and Nick’s guests were welcomed to a stunning fall reception at the museum. They brought more of the deep reds, oranges, and fall colors into the space. To top it off, Megan and Nick had a super fun photo wall with the famous LOVE statue, their names, and dusty pink roses. It was super fun and a great nod to the city we all love! The party wasn’t just beautiful – it was full of emotion and lots of love. Before the party really kicked off, their family and friends gave some super heartfelt speeches that had everyone choked up. It was the best way to honor the bride and groom!

Congratulations again, Megan and Nick! I’m so happy I could be a part of your incredible fall celebration at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. It was stunning – and the perfect way to kick off this new chapter together.
