Maria and Asher are married! I was so excited to see them both again – the last time I saw them was when they flew in for their Peace Valley Park engagement session. They arrived the week before their fall wedding at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA to finalize their wedding preparations. For couples who are planning weddings from a distance, I definitely recommend arriving a few days before the wedding so you’re ready and relaxed! Maria and Asher’s goal for their wedding day was to be able to focus and celebrate with the people they don’t get to see much anymore, so coming early was key!
Fonthill Castle Wedding Day
The day of their fall wedding, Maria got ready at the venue with her mom and friends. I love capturing portraits inside Fonthill Castle. It’s absolutely stunning and I love all of the architectural details inside the castle – there’s some great colors and textures to photograph. While she prepared, Maria was the sweetest! She made a point of stopping to hug every one of her wedding party members and thank them for being with her. It was so special to witness. After she was ready, Maria had a wonderful first look with her dad before heading to meet Asher!
It started to rain right before their first look so Maria, Asher and I headed to the Castle to keep covered. They had a lovely moment together before we took some portraits and the weather cleared! We were able to step outside for more portraits around the property. I loved the pop of color that Maria brought to her wedding day look with her bright bouquet of orange, red, white, and peach flowers. She and Asher looked absolutely perfect together for their fall wedding day.
Fall Wedding Day in Pennsylvania
The rest of the day was just a beautiful celebration of the two of them. Maria and Asher’s wedding ceremony took place on the lawn with fall flowers everywhere you looked. It was gorgeous! After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to a cocktail hour under a tent on the lawn. Maria and Asher had told me how important family and friends were since they didn’t get to see everyone as often as they’d like and I tried my best to showcase that in the imagery. It was also important in how we built their timeline – so that they could be a part of the cocktail hour and reception as much as possible.
Congratulations again, Maria and Asher! I’m so happy I had the honor of capturing your gorgeous fall wedding day at Fonthill Castle. It was all stunning – despite the weather – and I hope you’ll treasure these images forever!
