Bob and Brendan are married! Their sweet and emotional Philadelphia wedding day was a joy to be a part of and I’m thankful Bob and Brendan asked me to photograph their celebration. Every decision they made for their wedding day spoke to what mattered most to them: family and love. I always enjoy seeing how my couples’ personalities are reflected in their PA wedding days! Bob and Brendan chose the Philadelphia Cricket Club for their wedding day and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in Philly. I can’t wait for you to see Bob and Brendan’s portraits!
Philadelphia Wedding Day
Bob and Brendan began the day together, which I LOVE. They prepared for their wedding together, with their families in the morning. It was really sweet, and I think that it helped calm any last minute nerves before the big moment. Bob and Brendan couldn’t contain their smiles and joy – and I couldn’t either. Their energy was so contagious, in the best way possible. Exactly what a wedding day should feel like! When I spoke with Bob and Brendan throughout the planning process, they told me they wanted to feel the happiness of the day in every photo that we took. I immediately knew that wouldn’t be an issue at all once I saw them.
Their wedding festivities began with a traditional church ceremony in the church right next to the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Not only was it a gorgeous place to exchange vows, but it made the entire celebration super easy for all of us and their guests! After the ceremony, Bob and Brendan and I explored the exterior of the historic stone church. It was perfect for their first set of newlywed portraits together – such a classic look!
Of course, we captured more portraits of Bob and Brendan together around the Philadelphia Cricket Club before heading in for their reception. Bob and Brendan chose a super classic and timeless color palette for their reception featuring light blue and white. Their centerpieces had great pops of color, which all looked beautiful against the huge wall of windows at the club. The rest of the day was spent celebrating and dancing with all of their guests. It was a really fun reception, honestly!
Congratulations again, Bob and Brendan! I’m so happy for you both and thrilled I could be with you on your wedding day!
