Katie and Anthony were my last COVID couple, so their wedding was really special after having been delayed for years! We were all so excited to celebrate the start of their new life together after all this time. Because of the delays and how long it took for us to have their wedding day, I honestly became super close to Katie and Anthony – and I’m so glad for it. With the delays, I wound up photographing two engagement sessions and their rehearsal dinner leading up to their incredibly beautiful Downtown Club wedding day in Philadelphia, PA!
Classic Downtown Club Wedding
Katie and Anthony’s wedding was absolutely effortless and beautiful. All day long, it was easy to see how excited they were to be married (finally) and emotions were high – in the best way! From the start, Katie and Anthony told me how important it was to just see and experience the joy, love, and laughter with each other and their loved ones. It was my goal to capture all of the emotions and the elegance of their venue.
The newlyweds absolutely adore their city (and the 76er’s), so it was fun to find ways to bring Philadelphia into their wedding day. Katie prepared with her bridesmaids and had an emotional first look with her dad and brothers before going to meet Anthony for their first look. I love how much fun she had before then with her bridesmaids – including tossing confetti in the hotel room. It’s always so fun to find ways like that to incorporate laughter into your wedding day! We did their first look at City Hall and then used Old City landmarks for the rest of their portraits. It was the perfect way to celebrate their love of Philadelphia on their wedding day! Katie and Anthony are just SO natural together. It was an honor to watch them be together on their wedding day.
Their ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Downtown Club. Everything just felt so classic and elevated – it was a dream come true! I’m so happy for Katie and Andrew and I’m thrilled I was there to witness the most special day of their lives together!
