Katie and Will are the sweetest couple! They planned a gorgeous spring wedding in Philadelphia, featuring some of my favorite spots in the city. Katie and Will’s wedding day was filled with gorgeous details, amazing family and friends, and lots of laughs. I want every couple to have the day of their dreams, but also one that feels exciting and full of love. I think Katie and Will really had a wedding day like that!

Philadelphia Wedding Day

Before meeting for their wedding ceremony, Katie and Will prepared in the city. Katie got ready with her bridesmaids at the always beautiful Ritz Carlton. When she was dressed in her classic wedding gown, she planned the sweetest and more adorable first look with her dad and bridesmaids. I always LOVE when brides do a first look with their family and bridesmaids, especially if they don’t want to do one with their groom. There’s just something so powerful about getting to show off the wedding day look you’ve been dreaming of! Will prepared with his groomsmen at the W Hotel, another great spot in Philly for celebrations.

Katie and Will chose to meet at the altar of Old St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Old City Philadelphia. It was such a special moment for them both – and Will definitely cried watching his beautiful bride walk down the aisle with her father. Katie and Will had a gorgeous ceremony in this historic church before walking out as husband and wife!!

Philly Wedding at The Lucy

Katie and Will decided after their ceremony that they wanted to walk around Old City with their wedding party. We made stops at Signers Garden and of course, stopped for an iconic Broad Street portrait of the bride and groom! I loved watching Katie and Will interacting – they were SO happy to be married, and Will couldn’t help but continue to tear up looking at his wife throughout the day.

On the transportation to their venue the wedding party broke out in song and it was a really great moment! I’m so glad I was able to be there to capture the fun that Katie and Will had with their loved ones. When we arrived at the Lucy, I was so excited to see their reception! Katie and Will chose shades of gold to decorate the table and had the most beautiful hanging floral installations above the tables. It was incredible!  The rest of the night was filled with  an epic party and really beautiful speeches from their friends and family. Katie’s grandmother even got up to dance with her Dad at the end of the night! THat’s what wedding days are all about: family and love.

Congratulations, Katie and Will! I’m so happy for you both and thrilled I was able to be with you to celebrate the start of your marriage!
